Within the District

The MX brings even more energy to an already bustling downtown, and offers something for everyone. Within the district are the National Blues Museum, MX Movies and 6th Street Theater, which will attract visitors from miles around and support the lifestyles of downtown residents and workers.

The MX is also surrounded by popular entertainment and tourism destinations, including the Gateway Arch and America’s Center.

The Gateway Arch

The iconic Gateway Arch is located just a few blocks down Washington Avenue.

  • Currently attracts 3.5 million visitors every year
  • Multi-million dollar makeover to be completed by 2015
  • New design will include greatly improved parking and pedestrian connectivity between the Arch and the city (including the MX)

America's Center

Another neighbor of the MX is America’s Center, St. Louis’ convention center.

  • Attracts 2 million visitors each year
  • Recently underwent a $50 million upgrade
  • Affords 500,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space
  • Includes the attached Edward Jones Dome, home of the NFL’s St. Louis Rams
